A couple weeks back, I found a base model mac mini for $200 off. It was a base model with 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. I'm not a mac person, and I've only purchased apple equipment for my own personal education. For about $800 I could upgrade that to 2TB, or for a third of that, I could buy a kit and upgrade that myself. I decided to go with option "b" so I could pop the top, see what's inside, and make the mini more sellable if I should decide to let it go. The upgrade took less than an hour, and everything went through as expected. Of course I have voided my warranty, so if something goes wrong, I'll have to pop in the old storage module before I can submit the mini for repair.

At this point, I have the mini with not a clue of what to do with it. If you have usage suggestions, leave me a comment and let me know what you've done with your mini.
